Merriam Cycle offers a remake of the most mass-produced sidecar ever: the Vetter Teraplane. This ultra-unique sidecar is pictured here on one of our custom XS1100s, the Gray Wolf. The top half opens up like an aircraft canopy, making for easy entry and comfortable seating.

To order one, give us a deposit of $2,000.00 on a credit card and we'll put it on order for delivery in 2 to 4 weeks. We need the model of the bike it will be used with so we can get the proper mounting kit. Other colors are more expensive depending on what color you order. Get one and you'll have something really unique — it will probably be the only one in your neighborhood or group and be the envy of everyone you know.
History
This sidecar was originally designed by Craig Vetter of the Vetter Fairing Co. in the 1970s. At that time it sold for $2,500.00. Now it sells for $3,995.00 plus a mounting kit of $445.00. Everything else in the motorcycle industry has tripled or quadrupled since the 70s, and this sidecar isn't even double. It's a steal, and really cool.
